Inter are the Champions of Italy for a fourth consecutive season and were able to celebrate on President Massimo Moratti's birthday after the Nerazzurri defeated Siena 3-0 and AC Milan lost to Udinese 2-1.

Despite losing 1-0 away against defending Champion Zenit St. Petersburg Italy's last hope for European glory, Udinese, went through to the quarter finals of the 2008/09 UEFA Cup and will face Germany's Werder Bremen which dumped AC Milan from the competition.

Two late goals have put Udinese on the front foot after the Friulani won at home against reigning UEFA Cup Champions Zent St. Petersburg 2-0 in the first leg of their last 16 tie.

Simone Pepe and Antonio Di Natale steered Udinese through to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup after seeing off Lech Poznan of Poland with the Bianconeri being the only remaining Italian in the competition as Milan, Fiorentina and Sampdoria all fell short.
