The Canberra Vikings have secured their first home victory of the Australian Rugby Championship, a 53-8 win over the Ballymore Tornadoes at Manuka Oval in Canberra.

It was a dominant performance from the Vikings with winger Eddie McLaughlin crossing three times in the eight-tries-to-one victory.

The home side had led 18-3 at halftime and went on with the job in the second half.

The Central Coast Rays have defeated the East Coast Aces 44-15 in their Mazda Australian Rugby Championship round-three clash at Carrara.

After close losses to the Sydney Fleet and the Western Sydney Rams, the Rays finally found their maiden Mazda ARC victory with a dazzling first-half display when they outscored the Aces four tries to two.

The Sydney Fleet has taken advantage of ill discipline form the Perth Spirit to score a valuable 35-25 victory in their third round Mazda ARC match at North Sydney Oval on Saturday afternoon.

Perth looked in control of the match for the first half an hour, leading 15-0 before the first of four yellow cards was issued to Spirit players, two to flanker Richard Brown, leaving the West Australians with just 14 men almost half the match.
