Juventus has won a record 27 Serie A titles. On Saturday, it won its first in Serie B. Napoli widened the gap on fourth-placed Piacenza to 11 points after a win in Verona.

The Bianconeri clinched the second-division championship with a 2-0 win over Mantova a week after ensuring promotion to Serie A.

David Trezeguet put Juventus in front with a header off a cross from Federico Balzaretti in the 55th minute and Pavel Nedved scored with a lob in the 73rd.

"We just wanted the fans to enjoy it today," Nedved said. "It was a special day. We showed our character this season."

Juventus, which was relegated and penalized nine points in the Italian match-fixing scandal, has 85 points with two games remaining. Genoa, which beat Pescara 3-0, is second with 77 and Napoli, which won 3-1 at Verona, is third with 75.

Genoa defeated already relegated Pescara 3-0 at home. Milanetto grabbed a goal and Adailton scored a double for the Genovese who stay in second place on 77 points, 2 more than third placed Napoli.

Napoli won a crucial game away in Verona while Rimini lost at home 2-0 against relegation stugglers Arezzo. A flurry of goals were all scored in the second half in Verona. Domizzi and Calaio put Napoli 2 nil ahead before Pulzetti pulled one back for the home side.

Sam Dalla Bona scored for Napoli in the 93rd minute to seal the 3-1 victory which puts Napoli 11 points adrift of fourth place, meaning that if the gap stays this way then Napoli will be promoted without having to play-off.

Arezzo, third last and set for the drop to Serie C1, remain 1 point behind Verona, after winning in Rimini 2-0 thanks to a Floro-Flores double.

Piacenza are the only team with a realistic chance of closing the gap on Napoli to less than 10 points after they beat Spezia at home 2-1 thanks to goals to Nocerino and Degano while Saverino slotted one for Spezia.
