Serie A: Vieri signs for Atalanta (English/Italian) Print E-mail
Wednesday, 30 August 2006

Christian Vieri points to AtalantaFormer Azzurri star striker Christian Vieri has put pen to paper with Italian first division club Atalanta. The newly promoted side from Bergamo in Italy's north have officially announced that Vieri, who spent last season with AC Milan before finishing it with Monaco in the French league, has signed a one year contract.

The 32 year old striker formerly with Lazio, Inter Milan, Juventus and Atletico Madrid had signed for Sampdoria only weeks ago but suffered from depression and eventually ended any association with the Genovese club.

In a surprising revelation, Vieri signs with the Bergamasco club for the modest wage of 1500 euros per month.
