Giuseppe Rossi shocks all by signing for Villareal - AusItalia.comThe Christian Chivu saga has finally ended as the Romanian international leaves Roma for Inter Milan. Giannichedda signs for Livorno and Giuseppe Rossi leaves Manchester for Villareal.

The transfers so far :

Atalanta has signed strikers Floccari from Messina and Langella from Cagliari, midfield veteran De Ascentis from Torino, Parma's attacker Muslimovic, goalkeeper Coppola from Piacenza, Fiorentina's midfielder Brivio, Verona midfielder Guarante, Lecce striker Osvaldo, Cagliari midfielder D'Agostino and Lazzari returns from Piacenza.

The Bergamasci have sold midfielder Migliaccio to Palermo to replace Corini who has moved to Torino. Donati heads to Celtic in Scotland, Ventola to Torino, Motta to Udinese and former Azzurri striker Christian Vieri is out of contract. Bombardini leaves for Serie B club Bologna.

The Sardenian club secured striker Larrivey from Hurracan, aswell as Matra from Rimini, 'keeper Marruoco and midfielder Shala from Foggia and forward Acquafresca from Treviso. Fini has transferred from the relegated Ascoli and midfielder Parola signs from Sampdoria. Defender Magliocchetti signs from Roma and midfield sensation Foggia from Lazio.

Argentine goalkeeper Bizzarri signs from Gimnastic Tarragona in Spain and midfielder Llama Cristian Ezequiel from Argentine club Arsenal.

Attackers Rossini and Corona leave for Livorno and Mantova respectively.

UEFA club Fiorentina, although selling Luca Toni to Bayern Munich, la viola has signed on 8 new players. Lupoli, Azzurrini striker has signed from Derby County while Matavz arrived from Nova Gorica.

Former Azzurri striker Christian Vieri has signed a one year contract (to replace Toni) and azzurri midfielder Semioli transfers from the relegated Chievo.

Midfielder Hable signed from Czech club Hradec. Defenders Balzaretti (from Juventus), Mazuch (from Brno, Czech) and Borre (from Anderlecht, Belgium) and will bolster the backline. Valeri Bojinov returns from a loan spell with Juventus but is being chased by Torino, Napoli and Genoa.

Reginaldo, who scored some vital goals last year, has transferred to Parma while midfielder Brivio leaves for Atalanta. Pettinari signs for Reggina.

Fabio Grosso has left the Nerazzurri for French Club Lyon and there is some talk of Roma's Chivu signing. Former Ternana, Lazio and Fiorentina midfielder Jimenez signs on.

Kapo leaves for Birmingham. Former Azzurri defender Le Grottaglie leaves for Turkish Superliga club Besiktas.

Giannichedda signs from newly promoted Juventus and will join former AC Milan and France midfielder Dhorassoo in the midfield.

Goalkeeper Mazzoni signs from Lecco and midfielders Loviso from Sambenedettese and Emmanuele Filippini from Bologna while Kuffour, Fiore and Cesar all return to Roma, Valencia and Inter Milan respectively.

Striker Fausto Rossini has transfered in from Catania. Inter Milan forward Ribas will also play for Livorno in 2007/08.

Defender Pfertzel has transfered out to Bochum in Germany and midfielder Coppola goes back to Messina. The attack-minded Diamanti and Volpe arrive from Prato and Ravenna respectively.

Other players to leave include Giallombardo (to Ascoli), Gambadori (to Pistoiese) and Paulinho (to Grossetto).

Alessandro Costacurta retires from UEFA Champions League club AC Milan and Donati returns on loan from Atalanta and transfers to Celtic in Scotland.

The only signings so far are former Milan midfielder Ibrahim Ba who was out of contract Digao who returns from Rimini.

Gianluca Zambrotta is a target alongside Eto'o and Ronaldinho from Barcelona, while Real Madrid are chasing Kaka. Perhaps Shevchenko will return. Adriano is also being monitored by the rossaneri. Young Brazilian and Internacional attacker Pato could be on his way to Milan.

Giubilato has left for Vicenza and Cupi's contract is up and will leave. Defender Trotta has transferred to Vicenza.

Amodio leaves for Treviso, Giglio for Lucchese, Lacrimini for Ancona, Schettino for Juve Stabia and Gennaro Esposito for Vibonese.

Fabio Cannavaro is a target from Real Madrid while Stefano Fiore, Christian Vieri and Alvaro Recoba are linked with the club.

Defender Molinaro returns to Juventus after his loan spell ended, while Gastaldello signs for Sampdoria, Rinaudo heads back to Palermo, Antonini to Empoli, and Eremenko signs for Udinese. Francesco Cozza heads to Reggina.

Torino has signed AusItalian and Socceroo central midfielder Vince Grella and also managed to land midfielder Eugenio Corini from Palermo. Azzurro striker Davide Di Michele has signed from Palermo but will be suspended for the first 3 months.

Lazio goalkeeper Sereni signs on while Abbiati transfers to Atletico Madrid in Spain. The defence is strengthened by the arrivals of Natali from Udinese and Rubin from Cittadella. Midfielder De Ascentis leaves for Atalanta. Abbruscato leaves for Lecce.

Attacker Malonga also joins Torino from Monaco while Bjelanovic and Paolo Zanetti signed on from Ascoli and Nicole Ventola from Atalanta.

Defender Bovo heads to Genoa, Balestri to Mantova. Gallo heads back to Novara, Coco to Inter Milan and Ardito and Konan to Lecce. Taibi leaves for Ascoli in Serie B.
