Former Azzurri star striker Christian Vieri has put pen to paper with Italian first division club Atalanta. The newly promoted side from Bergamo in Italy's north have officially announced that Vieri, who spent last season with AC Milan before finishing it with Monaco in the French league, has signed a one year contract.

Christian Rigano' has signed for Messina from Fiorentina. The tall Italian striker spent last season on loan to Empoli where he enjoyed plenty of game time. Rigano' signed with 'Florentia Viola' after the former Fiorentina of Cecchi Gori was thrown in C2 with only Angelo Di Livio remaining.

Fiorentina has also announced that defender Marco Di Loreto will leave Florence for newly promoted Torino, on a 3 year deal.

Striker Hernan Crespo has signed a 2 year contract with Inter Milan from English club Chelsea. The Argentine international moves on a free transfer although Chelsea will have the option of re-signing him next summer.
