Uefa Champions League: Quarter-Finals draw Print E-mail

AC Milan will take on Bayern Munich for a place in the semi-finals of the Champions League. AS Roma will play Manchester United.

The Italian giants beat Celtic on Tuesday night with an extra-time winner and were first out of the hat in Friday`s draw.

The winners of that match will face the winners face either Roma or Manchester United in the semi-final.

The 1999 champions will make the trip to the Eternal City for the first leg of their semi-final while for the return match Roma midfielder Simone Perrotta will return to his native city of Manchester - the Italian World Cup winner hails from Ashton-under-Lyne.

Liverpool, conquerors of last year`s champions Barcelona in the last 16, must travel to PSV Eindhoven for the first leg of their of their tie.

Chelsea will welcome Valencia, finalists in 2000 and 2001, to Stamford Bridge as coach Jose Mourinho attempts to win the competition for the second time.

The winners of those two ties will go head to head in the other semi-final.

The quarter-final first legs will be played on the third and fourth of April, with the second legs scheduled for the following week.

The draw took place in Athens, the city in which the final will be held at the in on May 23.
