The Tigers' woes were compounded even further after Tigers captain Dan Marsh was forced to leave the field with a suspected calf tear.

Chasing an imposing 6-283 to win, the Tigers were never in the hunt, and with wickets falling at regular intervals, the side limped to 9-140 from 32.5 overs.

Darren Pattinson was the pick of the Victorian bowlers, picking up 3-23 from 6.5 overs, while Shane Harwood (2-29), Andrew McDonald (2-30) and Grant Lindsay (2-12) taking two wickets each.

George Bailey provided some resistance with a quickfire 35 runs from 24 balls, but only he, Michael Dighton (21) and Xavier Doherty (20) got among the runs.

Hilfenhaus was the pick of the Tasmanian bowlers, taking 1-32 from his 10 overs.
