England has revived hope of making the finals of the Commonwealth Bank Series after claiming a 92-run victory over Australia in Game 10 at the SCG.
Ed Joyce (107) guided England to 7-292 with his maiden one-day international century, putting on a second-wicket stand of 111 off 134 balls with Ian Bell (51).
England's bowling attack backed that up by reducing Australia to 2-4 in reply and the hosts never threatened after England broke a fourth-wicket stand of 71 off 50 balls between Matthew Hayden (51) and Andrew Symonds (39), who retired hurt.
