Perth Glory's defensive frailties have been exposed for the third straight A-League game as Queensland Roar romped their way to a 3-0 victory in Perth.

First-half goals to Craig Moore, Matt McKay and Charlie Miller sealed the win for the Roar, who encountered little resistance from Perth's besieged defence, which has leaked 11 goals in their past three games.

The Glory's third loss of the season leaves the once proud club dead last after four rounds with just a single point to their name, while Queensland's first win of the season lifts Frank Farina's men to equal fourth with Central Coast on the table with five points.

Wellington are still seeking their first win after four rounds of the A-League, after a drab goalless draw against the Central Coast.
The Phoenix may look on the result as a victory of sorts, given the Mariners were coming off a 4-2 win over Queensland Roar while they were drubbed 3-0 by Adelaide United in the previous round.

Newcastle Jets and Sydney FC have fought out a bruising 0-0 A-League draw at EnergyAustralia Stadium.

In a physical match neither team were able to create any clear-cut chances, although Newcastle would have been the happier of the teams given they were coming off the back of a 5-0 drubbing at Melbourne Victory in the previous round.
There was late drama when Sydney substitute Mitchell Prentice was sent off for a second bookable offence, but his 88th-minute dismissal didn’t give the Jets time to snatch a late winner.

The A-League is facing another spitting controversy after Melbourne Victory striker Ney Fabiano was sent off in his side's 1-0 win over Adelaide United.

Referee Matthew Breeze gave Fabiano his marching orders in the 29th minute of a tense win sealed when Melbourne's Kevin Muscat banged in the rebound from his saved second half penalty.
Television footage showed the Brazilian striker spitting at Adelaide opponent Robert Cornthwaite after the pair were involved in an on-field altercation.
If found guilty, Fabiano faces a multiple match suspension from the A-League match review panel, which threw the book at Perth defender Dino Djulbic two weeks ago for spitting in the direction of a match official.
Djulbic received a five-match ban for his offence.
But Fabiano's send-off didn't dull the Victory's enterprise - Melbourne moving clear at the top of the A-League ladder with a deserved win in which they created most of the best chances despite being a man down for most of the match.
Striker Archie Thompson and midfielder Carlos Hernandez caused the Reds defence headaches all night, and eventually it was the Socceroos star who earned the match-winning spot-kick.
Adelaide defender Sasa Ognenovski brought down Thompson in the box in a clumsy 63rd minute challenge.
Muscat, who had not missed a penalty in several years before, had his first effort saved by Adelaide keeper Eugene Galekovic.
But the rebound fell kindly for the Victory skipper to find the net second time around.
It was Adelaide's first defeat in four matches this season.
