Queensland Roar’s hopes of signing Socceroo striker John Aloisi have received a blow as the player wants more money than the club would like to offer.
The 31 year-old wants to become the club's 'marquee player'. All A-League clubs has an annual salary cap $1.8. Each club is allowed to break the cap for one player but Queensland prefers not to do so. According to the Australian press, after meeting the player’s agent, Roar chief executive Lawrence Oudendyk will talk to the board about the demands of the Alaves striker. "We're very keen to get him, but he is in the marquee player category," Oudendyk said. GOAL |
