Patrick Kisnorbo believes former team-mate and Queensland Roar recruit Danny Tiatto will make a major impact on the Hyundai A-League in his first year.
Frank Farina snapped up the former Serie B (Salernitana) and Qantas Socceroo star on a two-year-deal soon after the end of last season in a move which will see Tiatto return to Australia from Leicester, the club where he captained Kisnorbo.
The two former Melbourne boys became close friends at the Championship club and Kisnorbo is in regular contact with the tough left back, who is currently setting up house in Brisbane.
Kisnorbo, currently in camp with the Socceroos ahead of the Asian Cup, believes that at 34, Tiatto still has plenty to offer.
"He could be still playing in England, I think," Kisnorbo said. "He's one of those players who brings life to the game. He's got great experience."
"He's technically good. He can still shoot and that sort of stuff. I think he'll bring a lot to the A-League with his experience and his stature," he said.
Kisnorbo says Tiatto's move back to Australia is almost complete, and he should be ready to go for the start of the Hyundai A-League season.
"I think he moves at the end of the month, I know that he's found a house and he's ready to go this season," the 26-year-old said. Sportal
