Antonella Stelitano from the Cassamarca Foundation has brought to our attention what could be a golden opportunity for rugby playing students at your university.  

One of the Managing Directors of the Cassamarca Foundation is also the Managing Director of one of Italy's top rugby teams.  

The club is looking to recruit young interns to play for them for one year.  Students will be required to enrol in a course of study in Venice and train with the team in the afternoons.

STUDENTS WILL BE EXPECTED TO UNDERTAKE A COURSE OF STUDY IN VENICE

AS WELL AS ATTENDING RUGBY TRAINING IN THE AFTERNOONS 4-5 TIMES PER WEEK

FOOD, LODGING AND A LIVING ALLOWANCE WILL BE PROVIDED.

Knowledge of Italian would be an advantage, but not necessary.

In Italian: Pez riparte da Venezia

Ramiro Pez ha finalmente trovato una squadra: torna in Italia, giocherà con il Casinò di Venezia, formazione neo promossa nel Super 10. Il mediano d'apertura della Nazionale ha firmato un accordo fino alla fine di questa stagione con opzione per quella successiva.

CARRIERA -Pez, 29 anni giovedì, in Italia ha giocato poco più di un anno con la Rugby Roma (dal maggio 2000 fino alla fine della stagione 2000-01) con cui ha vinto uno scudetto. Dalla stagione 2001-02 è andato in Inghilterra e in Francia: l'ultimo anno con il Bayonne. Rimasto senza squadra, nelle settimane scorse si era parlato di un suo passaggio all'Overmach Parma. Invece ecco Venezia. Pez è atteso all'aeroporto internazionale "Marco Polo" del capoluogo veneto domani pomeriggio. Giovedì il primo allenamento con i nuovi compagni, sabato 22 contro il Catania l'esordio in campionato.

AZZURRO - Il mediano d'apertura nato a Cordoba (Argentina) conta più di 40 caps in azzurro, 18 dei quali nel Sei Nazioni. L'esordio risale all'8 luglio 2000, Samoa–Italia 43-24. Rimasto lontano dalla Nazionale dal 2003 sino all'arrivo di Pierre Berbizier, è tornato stabilmente a vestire la maglia n°10 sin dalla storica vittoria di Cordoba sull'Argentina nel tour 2005. Attualmente è quarto nella classifica dei migliori marcatori italiani di sempre dietro a Dominguez, Bettarello e Luigi Troiani, il primo tra quelli ancora in attività.
