ModaAustraliaSam Fisher wins Mittelmoda award
Stefano Sopelza of Mittelmoda said Sam Fisher's collection was exceptional and deserved a place on the Italian catwalk. The Dunedin awards are the equivalent of Brisbane's Italian Chamber of Commerce's ModaItalia Fashion Awards held annually in October. The 2006 Mittelmoda Prize winner, Shola Steele from Otago Polytechnic, Dunedin, was invited to Gorizia, Italy and was offered a job placement at Benetton. A special prize to show in Italy's world-class Mittelmoda fashion event later in 2007 was won by Sam Fisher of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology at the annual Vodafone Mittelmoda fashion awards in Dunediin, New Zealand.
